Having grown up in rural South Carolina, Jim Shore’s unique artistic style was inspired by his grandmother, a master quilter, along with traditional images and values of American folk art. Combining elements of quilting, rosemaling, appliqué, and folk art with a vibrant color pallet have come together to create a truly unique style that has made Jim Shore an enormously popular and an award winning artist with world-wide fame. In 2000 Jim partnered with Enesco, LLC. and created Heartwood Creek by Jim Shore, a line of seasonal and everyday decorative accessories. Then in 2005 Jim partnered with Disney and created Disney Traditions by Jim Shore. Today over 25,000 retail stores worldwide sell Jim Shore items with over 200 million in annual sales.
